Project Type:
New Plant Development | Industrial Scaffolding Project
Project Location:
Hugoton, Kansas
Project Summary:
Built in 2014, The Abengoa Biomass Plant was the largest cellulosic biorefinery in the world at the time and costs approximately $500 million to construct. The scaffolding solution our client required for this new plant development was impressive, but complicated. Erectors had to build the scaffold from the top down while working at height and were regularly tied off. This plant development required much planning.
Customer Challenges:
AT-PAC Solution:
Safety was a priority for our client. The Abengoa Plant Development required a unique scaffold suspension application that called for scaffolders to be tied off constantly while working at height. This industrial scaffolding project was extremely risky. Our client relied on the quality of our Ringlock Scaffold System to meet the requirements of their build and keep workers safe. The AT-PAC Ringlock Scaffolding System was erected to create multiple lifts of suspended scaffolds and two scaffold towers built on the steelwork all the way around.
